Achalasia: It is an esophageal motility disorder.
Adrenocortical: Of or derived from the cortex of the adrenal glands.
Albinism: The congenital absence of pigmentation in the eyes, skin and hair.
Alopecia: Loss of hair (especially on head).
Alopecia Areata: It is an autoimmune disorder characterized by loss of hair in patches.
Anaemia: A deficiency of hemoglobin or red blood cells.
Autoimmune diseases: A large group of diseases in which your immune system starts producing antibodies against your own tissues.
Biopsy: Examination of tissues or liquids for medical test.
Corticosteroid: It is a class of steroid hormone produced by the adrenal cortex or synthesized. It is used as drug for reducing swelling and decreasing the body’s immune response.
Dyschromatosis Symmetrica Hereditaria: Dyschromatosis symmetrica hereditaria is a rare autosomal dominant cutaneous disorder characterized by progressively pigmented and depigmented macules, often mixed in a reticulate pattern, concentrated on the dorsal extremities.
Hyperthyroidism: An overactive thyroid gland or the resulting from excessive production of thyroid hormones.
Macule: A discolored patch of skin that is not elevated.
Melanocyte: A cell in the basal layer of the epidermis that stimulates melanin production.
Melanin: A black brown pigments that account for the color of human skin and hair.
Mucous Membranes: Sheets of tissue covering the inner surfaces of the body.
Ocular: Of or relating to the eye.
Paraparesis: Weakness of both legs.
Pernicious Anemia: A chronic autoimmune disorder in which little blood is produced due to deficiency of vitamin B12. The actual abnormality however is the destruction of an intrinsic factor which is responsible for the absorption of this vitamin.
Phenotype: It is any observable characteristic or trait of an organism.
Photo-Sensitivity: Sensitivity to the action of light.
Reticulosis: An unusual increase in cells resulting from or related to the reticuloendothelial cells.
Sunburn: Damage to the skin resulting from exposure to sunlight.
Syndrome: Simultaneous occurrence of a group of, apparently unrelated symptoms.
Thyroid: An endocrine gland located in front of the voice box in the neck.
Uveitis: Inflammation of the uvea of the eye.
