Eddie “Among Ed” Tongol Panlilio is a very dedicated and well-loved priest.He is the first Roman Catholic priest who was elected as the 26th governor of Pampanga in 96 years.He is a greate leader and a pastor.

Eddie Panlili’s Early Life:

Fr. Ed Panlilio was born on December 6, 1953 to Gervacio Cunanan Panlilio and Catalina Tongol.He is 6th of the Gervacio’s seven sons,and was born in Minalin.His father, Gervacio, was a principal of San Pedro Elementary School.Ed Panlilio has made his mark as a prime-mover for social development when he was 53 year-old priest. He was suspended from his priestly ministry upon announcing his intention to run as governo.

Eddie Panlilio & Vitiligo:

Ed Panlilio is afflicted with vitiligo.He said that, “This disease is not a life-threatening ailment, and is not serious enough to stop him from doing his duties as a public official until June 2010”.

He also said,

“Vitiligo”, or the partial loss of pigment, which is also called as a Michael Jackson Disease by his skin disorder, is not contagious, so our constituents need not fear coming near me or shaking my hands”.
Menaliwa ku itsura, who is panlilio’s very closest priest brother said about him like that;

“Panlilio was handsome during his younger years in the ministry”.
The white spots were first appeared on his forehead in 2003 when he was in his fourth year of assignment at the St. James Parish. His doctors said, “It could be hereditary or caused by a virus from the environment or due to tension”

Panlilio said, “It has not affected my body’s vital organs, His mothers cousin had the same skin problem”

He further said,

“It give a different look, when the de-coloration spread around his lips and below the cheeks, he started feeling insecure”.

He is now completely tried by finding suitable treatment of this disease, he said,

“The cure to his skin disorder was taxing. I was made to go under the sun for 30 minutes between six and nine in the morning, apply (medicated) lotion then go under the sun again for another 30 minutes, he said. But he gave up, saying, How can I do this with all the activities in the parish?”
